Since 1979, we have represented Australian laundries and textile providers as the authoritative peak body, through evidence-based advocacy and strong membership support.
As the recognised sole voice of the industry, strongly and successfully represent the needs of the sector to governments and stakeholders, in order to achieve a stronger business operating environment, comprehensive respect and support for LAA members and the sector.
As part of their membership of the LAA, members are asked to support other members that face business continuity challenges, and to do so at a better rate. Following floods in Victoria, this is what one of our members said about the support they received:
During the floods in late 2022 our operations were significantly impacted as we were unable to get staff to our laundry. With the assistance of LAA members, who supported our laundry production, we were able to maintain supply to all of our customers, including essential healthcare facilities, without interruption. Being an LAA member along with the relationships it fosters, allowed us to navigate a difficult time far easier.
Here is what government ministers say about the LAA and our laundry sector
“I appreciate the important role of the commercial laundry sector, including the essential service it provides to the health, hospitality, aged care and other sectors.”
